Products are not only not as described but customer service is awful. After receiving the "Guiliana" (plum shimmer) pencil and attempting to use it with results as if I were putting a "clear" pencil on my eyelids, I contacted the company to voice my displeasure. I have been using eyeliner for many, many years and when I received this response from
, I was shocked and laughing at the same time: "Thank you so much for reaching out! We are sorry to hear the eyeliner did not work for you. Would you be willing to try a few tips and tricks one more time?
One trick for making sure Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner doesn't smudge on your eyelid is to apply the eyeliner to your lash line/eyelid and keep your eye closed for 30-60 seconds to let it set. That will keep it from transferring to your upper eyelid. To ensure your eyeliner stays put on your waterline you can use a tissue to dry your waterline before applying it. Then try not to blink for 30 seconds to let it set. One other thing is to make sure the eyeliner is dry before applying it on your waterline. Sometimes, when you are applying the eyeliner to your waterline, it will become "wet" due to the moisture in your eyes. You can simply dry it off with a tissue and then keep using it. We suggest applying your eyeliner to the waterline in two coats. Apply one coat, allow it to set for 30 seconds, then apply a second coat, allowing that to set as well. This will help lock your eyeliner in place!
Do you use skincare products that contain oils in the ingredient list? If so, we suggest avoiding the use of these types of products before using your eyeliner. Oils breakdown makeup, causing it to smudge, smear or transfer. We also recommend using an eyeshadow primer or eyeshadow before applying your eyeliner as it will help to absorb any oils on your skin, ensuring that they do not interfere with your makeup.
If you are still unsatisfied, you can return your eyeliner along with your eyebrow liner within 60 days of purchase by sending it to our address listed below. Once we receive the product, I will issue you a refund. Please also include a note in your order explaining which products you want a refund for. At this time, we do not offer free shipping return labels. Our address is:" ". Basically I received an "instruction manual", to apply their product -- none of this information is on the website (which I am sure they will change). If I had read this insanity before purchase, I wouldn't have bought it and I am quite sure most intelligent women wouldn't either! I messaged them back one more time and once again, another laughable pathetic response from a company more interested in saving $3 for return postage for a misrepresented item than in possibly maintaining a customer: "We are so sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner in our plum shimmer shade. It is a fairly light shade and we are sorry if you felt we misrepresented our product at all. Our other shades are definitely much more pigmented and we'd love for you to try one of those if you'd like to exchange. Because we use a new technology of Semi-permanent Micropigments it may be necessary to follow our instructions in order for the eyeliner to last longer for you. cocktail items to wear of the women for party
We definitely understand if you don't want to continue trying the Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner or aren't interested in exchanging the shade. We will gladly issue a full product refund once we receive the item back in-house. We are not able to offer return shipping labels at this time but it typically costs less than $3 to ship it back to us with USPS. I will gladly cancel your pre-ordered Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara for you. You should receive an email with those refund details shortly. And the funds should show in your account within 2-4 business days.
We apologize for any inconvenience, Elyse. We are sad to hear that you are unhappy with your eyeliner but are glad that the eyebrow liner is working for you. Through your purchase we were able to donate to women in need and we greatly appreciate your support of that. Let us know if you have any other questions." Again, nowhere on their website does Thrive Causemetics indicate that the color plum color is "fairly light"! So, I have cancelled a pre-order of a product and they will never see another penny from me and though I am sure they will remove this, I will post it again. They have also blocked me from reviewing the product! Buyer beware. The tug at heartstrings comment about "donating to women in need" -- give me a break.
First learn common sense and customer service! So, over their inability to disclose proper product info and unwillingness to take responsibility for return postage of a defective product, they get bad press. They can't give their products away -- their promos are ridiculous, but don't fall for them, the quality is below drugstore. I predict a rapid end to this company.
